Writers are able to get print on demand and E-book publishing by direct contact and also will be active on internet sales platforms to generate direct income. Publishers have to realize that writers can become competitors if not take care of well. Groups of writers will organize themselves into promotion and sales platforms where participants will have to pay a fee to be a member and can get benefits they never got when working with a publisher. Most writers will make a higher profit and consider the new options not only as a challenge but a sure gain.

We will enter a era where conflicts will occur between two parties that are in real need of each other publishers cannot go without writers but writers will be able to do without publishers. It is an alarming time that publishers must realize that they will have to change much faster to keep control of the situation and most of all to keep earnings coming. Publishers are on the bad economical side, the longer they wait the more they lose.

COACHING

What is Coaching ?
A Coach concentrates on the mental aspects of life. The Coach is a guide in helping you find the way to reach your goals in training, education, relationships or life in general. A Coach is your adviser in life. Arnaud van der Veere is the founder of Mentalic that is used by many performance artist for mind and body control.

Our coaching is based on fighting a “war”. Like the ancient Chinese used the ” art of war ” as part of the management strategy we use the “art of the Ring ” as part of that strategy with respect to all the works of the ancient Chinese warriors ! Use all , use more, be complete !

What can a Coach do for you?
You and the Coach clearly set your targets within the shortest possible time-frame. Once the targets are clear, a plan is drawn up to obtain the objective. In order to do this, your Coach will provide you with the necessary tools. Your Coach will aim to be a point of serenity and reflection within your life.

Who needs Coaching?
Everybody, from time to time, needs a guiding hand or a person with whom they can reflect upon the matters of the day. Our Coaches are involved in mental training and guidance of (top-level) sport, education and businesses. A Coach is beneficial to everyone. All our coaches take training sessions once in a while to update, develop and learn . It is our consideration that only stupid people think to know all and do not need to be updated.

How long do you need Coaching?
Time has no function in Coaching, only targets do. You do not need to meet with the Coach on a regular basis; you can also communicate by e-mail or phone and sometimes in person. Coaching is a matter of reaching targets, solving problems and most of all realizing your goal. For some this is accomplished within a matter of weeks, others take years.

How will the Coach guide me?
You have contact with your Coach by any means of communication. A personal meeting can take place anywhere you wish, a Coach is not bound to any particular place.

What is the area of expertise of a Coach?
Force One has several Coaches with different areas of expertise. Some work with groups and sport-teams and others on an individual basis. However, all are focused specifically on the complex working of your mind in relation to the environment. We combine body and soul activities in a broad setting.

What is the price for Coaching?
A personal talk with your Coach is € 65 per prime – session. A session varies from 20 minutes (prime session)  to an hour or more. This depends on your needs and the targets that have been set. Contact with a Coach through phone or e-mail is calculated per 10 minutes consultation-time and invoiced to you.

MANAGEMENT

A Force One Manager is a senior consultant, we do not have managers below 40 years of age,  with a thorough background in sports facilities, group- and individual guidance, administration and training. Our Managers can be placed as Interim Managers at any sports facility, if required.

What can a Manager do for you?
A Force One Manager can be used to solve management problems within companies and crisis- and employee management in order to create harmony within the company. The main goal of our Managers is the calm continuation of company activities, an improvement in turnover and an increase in profit levels.

Who needs a Manager?
Our Managers can be placed in existing sport facilities such as Gyms, Sport-schools, in-house Company facilities and other Fitness companies (such as Hotels).

How long do you need a Manager?
A Manager will stay as long as the Board of Directors or CEO desires.

GYM (RE)BUILDING

Force One has extensive experience in sport-school (gym) interior design and decoration. Since 1983, our team of specialists has renovated, built and re-built many different locations.

Our specialty is Martial Arts 7 Fitness but also Boxing- and Ring-sport gyms and clubs. In the last ten years we have broadened our program to include Fitness, Health and Wellness. We offer any concept you may have in mind and are able to develop further concepts upon demand from personal training studio’s to complete “factory” projects with multiple gym facilities.

2 / planning and rebuilding existing facilities

A sport-school / gym-interior must be planned for the long term. Clients and employees alike wish to work out in a relaxing and stimulating atmosphere. These days, a sport-school / gym is also a place for socializing,  efficiency, hygiene and comfort for the benefit of better serving the customers.

Is the changing world confusing for you ? If so this article will probably give you some tools to face it more clearly.

Look around you and all you see is change. Your mobile bought yesterday is already old and the new models are luring art you from shopping windows and screaming advertisements. Technology is changing so fast that you think you are running behind and cannot follow the new trends. Some people will get frustrated of the speed and want to catch up at everything.

Time and environment has changed our perception, no longer is age a save heaven. Age is not defined by a particular number. Some people are grandparent at the age of 40 while others will never see a grandchild. Many woman are not married at the age of 35 while in the past woman at that age had already grown up children. Man and woman are focused on career and are no longer interested in permanent relationships while parents focus on having grandchildren to continue the family “dynasty”. Internet did speed up fast relationship marketing and contacts are often fast, full of passion and short, fulfilling a physical and mental need. In these relationships women often pulls the short end of the string.

Everybody has private thoughts on aging. Most people are worried of the days to come. Some people take faith in their own hands and start trying to control the aging process. In our AGE CONTROL philosophy the life coach teaches that age is an opportunity and not a danger. We introduced life coaches in 1989, when the world was in a complete turmoil and many people lost vision of the future. The goal of a life coach is to assist you to get around with the aging process in a positive way. A life coach is an experienced person who received a special training to mentally and physically advise.

Aging goes with a changing body and mind. The body grows from immature to mature. After this a period of stabilization and important improvements comes to end with a decline.  The start of “decline” is different for men and women. In literature the time that is considered “decline” for woman is the moment they lost virility.  For man it is set around 35 years of age. The speed of decline is depended on the physical activities of the period before. A body needs to move to stay in shape, to be healthy. Moving is different from sport. You move to keep the machine (the body) going to prevent it will start to be rusty. When you stop to move, like when you stop a machine, the structure will start to get stiff. We call this a rusty system. A stiff system reduces neural transmission (your nerve system falls back) and diminish blood circulation.

But aging is mainly a mind over body matter. Your mind controls your body, your activity. Most people start to be aware of becoming older when they reach the age 30. Specially woman suddenly realize that their lifespan becomes limited. The reason behind this is the limited virility time of the woman.  At age 30 she realizes that she only has around 10 years to go to get children. In current situation many woman in China are still working on a career at that age. Man, on the other hand, are often not mature enough to start a family. This will worsen in the generations to come due to the spoiling of parents of their sons. In today’s society we see a worsening of the gender age gap and young woman are looking for (much) older man. This is an unhealthy situation that is not good for future generation. This choice is not a matter of physic but of the mind.

Time is essential in life. We all live on the clock. Realize how often do you watch the time ? How interested are you really to KNOW the time ? Looking at the time has become a routine, nearly a ritual. We make appointments with time and dates, we use diaries every day, we make plans with time as our guidelines, we are living on (borrowed) time. But how long ago did we start to take time this serious. How did our ancestors use time ? Were they aware that there timespan on earth was so limited. Imagine that in the past human only reached the age of 40. A person over 40 was considered an exception. A person who dies in current time at the age of 40 is an exception. Our lifespan is nearly doubled in yet only 100 years. We live longer and seem to be more in control of natures time. But the more we gain “control” of time , the more we are aware of it. We have become scare of losing time, wasting time and yet we do so all day, every day.

To combat the negative effects of the aging process we need to be flexible and consistent in improving, maintaining and revalidating the body and the mind at all time. The first step in aging is accepting that aging is inevitable, it is not a matter of choice but of faith. Acceptance is very important and gives way to understanding. Every age level has its beauty. When young the chase of love is most important, to make a career is great and your energy seems unlimited. Over 30 your beauty is the knowledge of life the experience and (physical) maturity. Most women are much more beautiful after their 30’s than before, pity that men hardly realize that !

After 50 a new look on life fills the mind, a new energy that brightens your day. Wisdom of life, often the fact that kids leave the home and you can consider the mistakes you have made. At 50 the energy is still enough to cover the day’s work and the evening to relax. After 70 we are able to look back at life itself, look at what we did learn and for some people what we have reached. Satisfaction is a matter of accepting and expectation. When we are young we have a lot of expectations. Our parents and family also put expectations on us. For Chinese the external expectation feels like pressure and often a force. This heavy expectation can work as a burden to most and as an energizer to some.

The first step of growing up is acceptation that expectation must comply with reality. In China many people have a too high expectation and will burn out before even reaching the age of 30. Health is build on expectation and action. Our mind makes the expectation based on our internal and external influences. After that action must follow. When you want to become director of a company you need to have special capacities to get there. Not only your abilities as a hard working person but also a social networking artist. To get to the top we have to walk the stairs. Each step is a part of our expectations and will take some time. When we constantly look up to the top of the stairs we get frustrated and our mind makes the body stressed and sick. But when we focus on one step a time and we are successful we will feel the joy of success and a good influence on our health. A positive mind, positive results are important to a healthy lifestyle and also improves the quality of the aging process. Our aging process is divided into time spaces. For every step in life you need to take a limited time. We call that deadline walking. Our life deadlines are realistic, possible to reach within a planned time. Reaching a goal brings the satisfaction in life.

We all want to control time, to do this we need to let time work for us. Most people think of a clock or a watch when they think of time. Some people use time as status, they buy a beautiful watch to show fortune. Other people control time via their mobile. Many people have multiple ways to keep track of time. But keeping track of time is not the same as controlling time. Most people have become a slave of time. They work, forced or not, from dawn to dust and seem never to have enough time to finish work. Work consumes most of our time. A Chinese worker often just do what the boss asks. Follow orders. Most of these orders are inefficient and time consuming, hardly ever are these orders carefully planned or clear.

Time can be made usefully when we make clear plans. Efficiency in life saves time. You only can be efficient when you know exactly what you want. Being clear is efficient. My advice is to put more time in preparing a task. After you get an order, make clear to the superior what the order is. Just write it down and ask his / her permission to execute the order precisely as is written down. Doing so saves time in communication and later you cannot get arguments. Following orders becomes more plan directed and time efficient. Another positive thing is that your superior cannot pull back and tell that the order was different and you made a mistake. Being clear is also good in relationships. In a relationship you can set goals and talk about when to realize them. Having a good set of goals also makes a relationship stronger.  Good goals and strong time limits will give less stress. Everybody knows that time and stress are connected. The more you need to do in less or unknown time will increase stress, irritation and that has a direct effect on health and aging.

Functionele Training en Personal Training

Fusion sports zijn de ideale instrumenten voor de Personal Training. In voorgaande artikelen ben ik hier al diep op ingegaan. Dit artikel levert stof tot inventief trainen op. We behandelen een weinig bekend onderwerp ; Trainings Creativiteit.

Lopend door de vele sportscholen moet je constateren dat het droef gesteld is met de variatie en creativiteit van beoefenaren. Tranen krijg je in de ogen wanneer je hoort dat mevrouw X al jaren een paar keer per week op de loopband springt en haar uurtje rent, meneer Y zijn rondje langs de apparaten maakt en Z gewoon alles maar door elkaar doet.

Maar, zo hoor ik de sportschoolmanager inbrengen, alle leden kunnen een programma aan de balie krijgen. Een goed gebalanceerd programma in verschillende niveau’s dus voor ieder wat wils. De school biedt alle mogelijkheden voor variatie. Een beetje sportschool heeft ook een groepsprogramma’s die voor de nodige “variatie” zorg dragen. Althans dat denkt men. Voor het gemak wordt vergeten dat groepsprogramma’s over het algemeen drie maanden lang hetzelfde zijn.

Voorgaande tekst is een constatering van feiten, geen nutteloze kritiek. De oplossing voor elke sportschool is de variatie trainer ! Wat is een variatie trainer ? Bij de introductie van deze trainer zie ik de gezichten van zuinige sportschoolhouders denkend aan een kostbare persoon die op het loon budget drukt. Maar nee ! Geachte directeuren een variatietrainer is een entertainment functional trainer die visueel – dus op uw beeldschermen – de sportschool opfleurt. Geen levende kostbare personen ! Uw eigen Variatie trainer dagelijks op het scherm van uw sportschool levert een creatieve sfeer met enthousiaste leden.

Wat laat de Variatie trainer zien ? In plaats van geanimeerde poppen ziet de cliënt een mens van vlees en bloed de oefeningen voordoen. Het begin van elke serie is de standaard fitness oefening in correcte uitvoering. Hierna volgen allerlei variaties op dezelfde oefening. De variaties zijn ook combinaties met andere oefeningen, versnellingen of juist vertraagde uitvoering en vooral alles gericht op de functionele toepassing van de beweging.

Wat zijn uw voordelen van de Variatie trainer op uw sportschool ?
Ten eerste brengt u door variatie een element van plezier, creativiteit, enthousiasme en bovenal trainingszin op de vloer. Ten tweede kan de Variatie trainer worden uitgedeeld aan uw cliënten. Bij de aankoop van een originele DVD koopt u ook de mogelijkheid een copy (bijvoorbeeld op memorie stick) aan de cliënt mee naar huis te geven. U bind hiermee de cliënt sterk aan de organisatie, want je geeft natuurlijk elke keer een deel van de oefeningen en net alles in een keer. Ten derde kan er van de variaties een groepsles door uw interne instructeurs worden gemaakt.

Conclusie ; om retentie te bevorderen en nieuwe leden aan te trekken moet de sportschool variatie bieden.

Voorgaande was voor een aantal ondernemers het signaal om met informatie zuilen op de merkt te komen. Deze mooie zuilen geven de bezoeker een schat aan informatie. Met de prachtige – bij enkele zelfs interactieve – afbeeldingen van wel of niet bewegende poppen worden de oefeningen getoond. Helaas heb ik moeten constateren dat in de meeste sportscholen de zuilen stofhappen en zelden worden gebruikt. Zonde van de investeringen.

Ook in dit geval ontbreekt de menselijke factor waarbij de PT en de PPT een belangrijke rol spelen. De informatiezuilen krijgen pas betekenis als naar het belang van de informatie door mensen word verwezen. De zuilen zijn de back-up voor de mensen, geen vervanging. Scholen die ze als vervanging plaatsen begrijpen niet dat ze een zinloze investering doen.

STIMULANTEN

STIMULANTEN

Veel voedings supplementen worden op de markt gebracht als stimulanten. In dit artikel ga ik in op een aantal soorten. Allereerst moet er onderscheid worden gemaakt tussen verboden en legale middelen. Het is onderhand gemeengoed dat XTC en amfetaminen tot het verboden snoep behoren.

Een randgeval is cafeïne dat in sommige gevallen in voedings supplementen wel verboden is maar in drankjes niet. Als je doping testen moet ondergaan kan het gebruik ervan zelfs tot een positief bevinding leiden.

Het meest gebruikt zijn de plantaardige stimulanten. In veel supplementen treffen we Ma Huang, Ephedra, Guarana, en White Willow Bark,aan. Exotisch namen met een minder duidelijke werking. In het kader van deze serie hou ik de uitleg basaal.

Een stimulant moet een directe invloed uitoefenen op de energiehuishouding van het lichaam. Dit kan door beïnvloeding van het zenuwstelsel, verhoging van de bloedsomloop of verwijding / vernauwing van de bloedbaan. Het laatste is ook een bekend effect van roken en alcohol. Niet voor niets worden deze produkten ook tot de groep der stimulanten gerekend. Opmerking ; een te veel aan stimulanten (overstimulatie) geeft weer een down effect en valt men b.v. in slaap.

Stimulanten worden veelal aangewend in de groep “vetverbranders” ofwel “afvalmiddelen”. Het lichaam word door de werking aangezet tot de productie van meer energie (bijvoorbeeld door de toepassing van de cafeïne gerelateerde extracten als guarana ), hongergevoel onderdrukt (door efedra gerelateerde extracten als Ma Huang), en de bloedsomloop gestimuleerd (door aspirine gerelateerde extracten als White Willow Bark). Feitelijk een simpel proces. De energie balans wordt in “negatieve” zin beïnvloed waarbij men meer verbrand dan opneemt. Je verliest (tijdelijk) gewicht. Meestal worden deze produkten aangevuld door een “vetblokker” (bv Chitosan, heeft een inmiddels bewezen werking in PURE vorm bij hogere concentraties) of een insuline motivator als chroompicolinaat (cq chroompolynicotinaat waarvan gezegd wordt dat het gezonder is).

Feitelijk is het gebruik van deze producten in zekere mate risico vol. Temeer wanneer we weten dat er sprake is van een rebound effect. Je moet bij langer gebruik een steeds hogere dosis nemen om tot dezelfde stimulatie te komen. Met andere woorden je werkt naar de toxische = giftige dosis toe. Stimulanten MOETEN alleen periodiek gebruikt worden. Meestal 4 tot 6 weken en daarna een gelijke periode niet. Vooral efedra kent dit gevaar heel sterk.

De grote vraag is nu ; welk effect hebben deze produkten op den duur op je gezondheid ? Het antwoord is eenvoudiger dan gedacht. Zolang je eigen immuunsysteem goed werkt kunnen ze geen kwaad. Het eigen lichaam heeft een goed werkend regulerend systeem. Maar bij mensen met een minder werkend immuun systeem kunnen de gevolgen niet te overzien zijn. Wanneer je een aandoening hebt of gewoon ziek voelt, stimuleer dan het lichaam niet ! Er zijn geen onderzoeken die het effect van langdurig gebruik in kaart hebben gebracht.

Conclusie ; het gebruik van stimulanten kan alleen min of meer zonder risico wanneer men in een algehele goede gezondheid verkeerd.

Doctor, passion or job ?

To most it is a profession. A general respected position in life. Being a doctor is something that will guarantee you a rather high living standard, the respect of your family and most of all a clear high position in society. The profession did earn this place in our society with the hundreds of years we are depended on the medical world. Thanks to them we have enhanced our lifespan and quality of life. We do need to give them credit for that. So before you continue to read remember to keep in the back of your head that I respect and honor the profession knowing that out there in the wild of life, we still can find real good passionate doctors who are a credit to the profession.

Recently, in my vision finally, the words is on the street. There are many doctors who are not worth the title given after reaching the final year of University. Many, yes and currently the suggestion is that it reaches levels of nearly 80%, doctors are not morally qualified for the job. These persons went to University to become a professional doctor with a guaranteed income, a status and a function for life. Very few doctors are unemployed.

But what is wrong with the medical world ?

Passion is missing, the real determination for the job, the driven doctor who is willing to give his time to the patient. It is replaced by the calculating, time depended and minute to minute planning personality who must combine his work with a social status to create a “face”. This face is more important than the actual performance. A doctor feels secure as they know that they are protected above the law. Yes a doctor stands above the law, they only can be punished by their own people. The real problem in the medical world is the fact that a doctor judges a doctor and this is one of the very few professions where this strange practice is happening. A very injustice and hard to cope with principle of power.  Due to this practice the medical world is unclear and doctors can make big mistakes and get covered by others for the sake of the name of the profession, not because those other doctors agree.

In more than one hospital around the globe doctors are constantly covering up for malfunctioning college. The tension created on the working floor due to this practice is disturbing the functioning of whole departments. Some hospitals have become so dangerous that to survive a hospitalizing starts to be a miracle.

Being critical is easy but solving the problem is a big target. One of the first goals we should have is to bring the doctor back into the real world. In some countries the doctor only can become a GP when he or she takes at least one year of “volunteer” service to help the most needed in society, this will teach them a more humble approach of life and cooperation. A first suggestion ?
